referrals

Refer a business. Get $250.

Know someone whose business needs a website, or a better one? Send them my way. When they become a client, I pay you $250. Anyone can refer, and there's no limit.

how it works

Three steps, one of them yours

  1. 01

    Tell me who

Fill out the short form below with their name and the best way to reach them. Give them a heads-up first so they're expecting to hear from me.

  2. 02

    I take it from there

I get in touch, look at what they have now, and send them a quote. There's no pressure on them, and nothing more for you to do.

  3. 03

    You get $250

When they make their first payment on the project, I send you $250 by Zelle or check, whichever you prefer.

who to send

Someone probably came to mind

Most of my clients are contractors and local businesses. A good referral usually looks like one of these.

  • A contractor whose website hasn't been touched in years
  • A new business that doesn't have a website yet
  • A shop getting by on a Facebook or Instagram page
  • Anyone paying every month for a slow site-builder site
  • A business that's hard to find on Google

Not sure they're a fit? Send them anyway, or ask me first at stephen@gbfm.dev.

The fine print, in plain English

Everything about how referrals work. Anything else, just email me.

Anyone. You don't need to be a client of mine. Clients, friends, family, and other business owners are all welcome to send people my way.
A business I'm not already working with or already talking to, that hires me for a new website or a redesign. If two people refer the same business, the first one to send it gets the $250. Referring your own business doesn't count.
Once the business you referred makes their first payment on the project. I'll email you to ask whether you'd like Zelle or a check.
No. It's $250 for every referral that becomes a client, however many you send.
Then nothing happens and nobody owes anything. I'll have one friendly conversation and send a quote if they want one. I don't chase people.
Yes, please. A quick heads-up means my email or call isn't a surprise. It's also fine to tell them there's a thank-you in it for you. If you'd rather not fill out the form, have them contact me and mention your name, and it counts the same.

The referral program can change or end at any time. Referrals sent before a change are paid under the terms that were posted when you sent them.
