I'm Stephen, the independent New York web developer behind gbfm. I build custom websites that load fast, show up on Google, and bring in customers.
I work directly with every client. No agency in the middle, no account managers, no templates or page builders. Each site starts from a blank file and gets written for that business, so there's nothing on the page that doesn't need to be there. Most of my clients are contractors and local businesses, and most projects go from first draft to live site in one to two weeks.
Sites built from scratch are fast, and fast sites rank. Mine are built to score 100 on Google's Lighthouse test, which you can check yourself, and that helps with search rankings, ad costs, and keeping visitors on the page. I'm SEO certified through HubSpot Academy, and after launch I handle hosting, domains, and updates too.

Get a quote →It depends on how many pages you need and what the site has to do, so every project gets its own quote. After a short call about your business, I send one all-in price. You'll know exactly what you're paying before any work starts.
Lighthouse is Google's own test for websites. It grades performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO from 0 to 100, and those scores affect search rankings and ad costs. Most sites land in the 50s to 70s. Mine are built to score 100, and you can check any of them at pagespeed.web.dev.
Most sites go live in one to two weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly I get your content and feedback.
Yes. I offer a monthly maintenance plan that covers updates, content changes, and keeping everything running. If you'd rather just have the site built and handed over, that works too.
